Welcome to the Fanes Hut, where cheerfulness reigns!

Here, every occasion is good to celebrate...musicians are always welcome and the "Fanes ghosts" often accompany our guests all night long.

This fantastic atmosphere has not changed over the years. Everywhere you can see pictures of memories and people, newspaper articles, strangely shaped stones, war residues and individual articles, which have accumulated over the years. Just like father Alfred was, the current hosts - son Max and his wife Petra - are also aware of their role. Despite the ever growing mass tourism, they do their best to preserve the characteristics of the hut.

The Lounge

This is the lounge in the Fanes Hut. How many moments, how many words, how many thoughts, how many people have met...

In winter and in summer every day after skiing or after an exciting excursion in the Dolomites of the Fanes - Senes - Braies Natural Park many people, each of them different, enter the lounge and an adventure begins for each of them.

Have a lunch or a snack, something warm on cold winter days, or something refreshing on hot summer days.. The hut, especially this lounge, is like a museum of the hut itself and of all the people who spent their most intensive moments in contact with nature in this hut.

The Stube

Right after entering the hut, to the right a small wooden door leads to the traditional wooden "Stube" room. Furnished completely in wood, in the middle a beautiful brick oven with a white-blue majolica.

Small, but inviting tables, candles and kitchen utensils from ancient times, clocks, wooden sculptures, old mountain equipment.

A place to find peace, quietness and to enjoy the cosy heat of fire.
